History

The neighborhood takes its name from Robert Fulton, the engineer and artist who invented the steamboat in the 19th century. Most of the homes in the neighborhood were built in the 1920s.

Most of the housing in Fulton consists of single family homes, the majority of which were built in the 1920s. The most common architectural styles are Craftsman, Bungalow, and Foursquare.
