The McKinley neighborhood is a tree filled, residential neighborhood that sits right on the Mississippi River, just seven minutes from the heart of the downtown Minneapolis. With a neighborhood school, park, three Christian Churches, a Buddhist temple and a Mosque, the diversity of the neighborhood is definitely a highlight for all residents and visitors. The neighborhood is served by frequent transit service along Lowry and Lyndale Avenues. Some of Minneapolis’ highest hills are found to the southeast of Dowling and Lyndale Avenues.

“In the summer, you can see the stars and hear crickets at night! We spend lots of time outside, exploring the bluffs with our 2 young children and dog. There is a wonderful cross-section of young and old; families and singles and the area is racially vibrant.  We LOVE our neighborhood.”
