Standish & Ericsson are stable, thriving, yet quiet neighborhoods. Beautiful parks, playgrounds, recreational facilities, schools (both public and private) and the historic Roosevelt Community Library are amenities for singles and families. History

The area was considered the outskirts of the city until immigrants, mostly Swedish and Norwegian, began building their homes early in the 1900s, creating the neighborhoods now known as Standish & Ericsson.

Primarily single-family, bungalow style homes. Some new developments near LRT will bring more apartment living options to the neighborhoods.

• Occasionally the Standish-Ericsson Neighborhood Association (SENA) makes Neighborhood Revitalization Program funds available for home-improvement loans. Information will be made available at the SENA website: www.standish-ericsson.org/
