Pohlad Foundation Homebuyer Assistance Program (for homes in zip codes 55411 and 55412)

Description: Deferred loans of up to $8,000 are available for down payment and closing cost assistance for buyers in the Willard Hay, Near North, Hawthorne, and Jordan neighborhoods within the 55411 zip code and in Cleveland, Folwell, and McKinley within the 55412 zip code. There are no monthly payments, loan repayment is forgiven after 7 years of continued ownership and residency. Buyers must intend to owner-occupy a single-family home, duplex, townhome, or condominium. There are no income restrictions, nor does the buyer need to be a first-time home buyer. Funding for the program is provided by the Pohlad Family Giving Foundation. Loans are administered by Neighborhood Housing Services of Minneapolis.
